Your technology is clear to you.
It needs to be clear to everyone else.

TramBauer turns complex medical technology into visuals an investor grasps in under a minute, a physician sees fitting their workflow, and a patient stops fearing. We learn your device the way you know it, then build the story that makes it obvious.

Phil spent 15 years in medical device R&D, the part where you live inside the science. Kent spent 15 years in animation, the part where you make hard ideas visible. Most studios have one. Almost none have both.

Medical device R&D: CAD design, anatomical modeling, structural heart, electrophysiology

Phil spent the majority of his career working in CAD design and anatomical modeling across a range of medical fields, including structural heart and electrophysiology. He knows the environment, the language, and the constraints that come with it.

So when you work with TramBauer, you're not spending the first few meetings getting him up to speed. He already has a good sense of what you're dealing with.

3D animation pipeline: modeling, rigging, rendering, and cinematic storytelling

Kent is a master of 3D and the animation pipeline, and much of his work has been teaching other people to see it. Through CG Cookie, he built a reputation for breaking complex visual ideas into something anyone can follow.

At TramBauer, that means the animation doesn't just look professional. It makes the point. If a viewer leaves confused, the work hasn't done its job.

Why the combination matters

For technology that lives inside the human body, you can't film it. Animation is the only way to show it. And showing it wrong, or showing it in a way that looks impressive and explains nothing, costs you the room. TramBauer is built around the fact that accuracy and clarity have to exist in the same piece. Our team brings both sides to every project: the device expertise to get the science right and the animation craft to make it clear. The work reflects both.

What are you trying to solve right now?

We've built three packages around the moments that matter most in medical device commercialization. Find where you are.

Investor package

"We have a board meeting in 60 days and nothing visual to show them."

Win the room

Investor and fundraising package: make the science obvious before the Q&A starts

Investors back what they can picture. If your device is too complex to explain in under a minute, you're losing rooms you should be winning. This package gives you the visual story that does the heavy lifting before you say a word.

  • 60-sec MOA or product explainer video
  • 3–5 hero product renders (still images)
  • 30-sec cutdown for pitch deck embed
  • Source files and usage rights included
$18–22k
Fixed price
8–10 weeks
Training package

"We're cleared, but physicians aren't confident enough to use it yet."

Adopt faster

Clinician training and adoption package: close the gap between cleared and used

Regulatory clearance is permission to sell. Adoption requires something else: a physician who has seen exactly how the device works and trusts what they will find when they use it. This package builds that confidence before they're in the room.

  • Surgical technique video, step-by-step (2–4 min)
  • Patient education video (90 sec, plain language)
  • Device handling and setup animation
  • Optional: anatomical fixture from your DICOM files (+$2–4k)
  • LMS-ready export formats included
$28–36k
+ $2–4k for fixture
10–14 weeks

Already know exactly what you need? We also work on individual videos, product renders, and DICOM-to-fixture conversions. Get in touch and we'll scope it.

What working with us actually feels like

Not a timeline. Not a workflow. The things that matter when you're trusting someone with your most important story.

You won't spend meetings getting us up to speed

Phil has spent 15 years inside medical device R&D. When you describe your device, your regulatory context, or your audience, we're following along. That means your first briefing is the last time you have to explain the basics.

The science will be right before you check it

One wrong anatomical detail or inaccurate mechanism can stall a regulatory review or undermine your credibility in the room. We run every frame against what we know about your device. You are not our first line of accuracy review. We are.

Revision rounds are built in and scoped from day one

Two rounds of revisions are included in every project, documented in your agreement before work starts. You will never receive an invoice you did not expect. And because we front-load understanding, those revision rounds are for fine-tuning, not course correction.

Your deadline is our deadline

If your investor meeting is in ten weeks, we plan backward from that date. We will tell you honestly if the timeline is too tight, and we will tell you early enough to do something about it.

Most teams start this too late.

If your product launch, trade show, or investor round is in the next 90 days, now is the time. Make sure your story has the time it needs to be right.

Tell us about your device

What it does, who it's for, and when you need it explained. We'll take it from there.
